In Singapore most flats are concrete construction and this has a direct effect on soundproofing systems used in other country's. When using soundproofing products you may need to get permission to be able apply products to your flat. The products that are used for Flats have to be suitable for concrete construction. One of the main soundproofing condo requirement for Flats is to use soundproofing to stop the noise from external Air conditioning units that are making noise from vibration and air bourne factors.

This can be treated using one of our NoiseStop Systems mat products. Attached between the Air conditioning unit and the wall. This will stop any vibration noise caused by the unit. If you are still getting the actual motor Sound coming through the wall you may want to either create a barrier using again our NoiseStop Mat product or one of our wall systems to stop this.

Once applied making sure there are no gaps in the soundproofing the system will help remove the noise or help to bring it down to a suitable level. If you can hear noise from below any of our soundproofing floor products will give you a great reduction.

If you wish to then re-tile over the soundproofing mat that has been placed you may need to use a chip board or plywood board over the top to ensure the tiles do not flex and making sure the tiles do not crack.
